The Moana Hotel was a charming, gracious hotel built in the days when all guests arrived in Hawaii by ship. It retains all the glamour and charm of this bygone era with its soaring columns and gorgeous old-world comfort, while also having moved with the times with regard to facilities and services. The Moana Hotel was built around a huge beach-side Banyan Tree which still exists and today’s guests still enjoy the shade and ambience of the hotel’s wide verandas overlooking the banyan tree and the afternoon teas and the pleasant nightly entertainment under and around this famous old tree.
